Jan. 10

5:10 a.m.

Traffic stop initiated for a moving violation, the driver being warned.

5:40 a.m. A second traffic stop was conducted for a moving violation. The driver was warned.

9:52 a.m. Young runaway located in the City of Stanley from Taylor County 10:00 a.m. Thomas Tollefson, age 43 of Stanley, was cited for violation of city ordinance.

10:00 a.m. Brandon Hurlburt, age 28 of Stanley, was cited for violation of city ordinance.

Jan. 11

6:22 a.m. Stanley Police were requested for a vehicle lockout, the vehicle being opened.

7:54 a.m. Stanley Police were requested for a 911 call in Boyd. It was determined to be a pocket dial and there was no problem.

1:14 p.m. Stanley Police were requested for a theft complaint in the 500 block of Murray Street. It was determined to be a civil matter.

4:05 p.m. A caller regarding harassment was logged. 7:56 p.m. Police were requested in the 200 block of East Third Avenue for report of a dog at large.

11:40 p.m. Police were requested to assist the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office with a vehicle in the ditch near Boyd.

Jan. 12

12:15 p.m.

Police requested to check a property prior to a family entering after the occupant had recently passed away.

1:04 p.m. Stanley Police responded for an EMS assist in the village of Boyd. Officer assisted as needed until arrival of EMS.

4:56 p.m. Stanley Police were requested for an assault at Stanley Correctional.

6:25 p.m. Stanley Police conducted a traffic stop for a defective registration tail lamp. Driver was verbally warned.

10:32 p.m. Stanley Police conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of North Oshkosh Street for speed. Driver was warned.

10:56 p.m. Stanley Police conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation. The driver was warned.

Jan. 13

2:03 a.m.

Stanley Police were requested to assist the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office with a call north of Cadott.

3:12 a.m. A law assist was requested north of Cadott by Chippewa County.

8:49 a.m. Police received a missing person complaint. Report to follow. 10:30 a.m.

A caller reported an incident that was deemed to be a civil dispute and he was subsequently directed to address via the courts if that were his wish. 2:04 p.m.

A stray dog was reported in the 200 block of Lincoln Street.

5:08 p.m. Stanley Police conducted a traffic stop on Oshkosh Street for vehicle speed. Written warning issued.

8:00 p.m.

Police responded to a 911 investigate complaint. Contact was made with the caller and no issues were found. Contact was made with their mother to advise of the contact.

8:26 p.m. Stanley Police conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation (defective registration lamp). Driver was verbally warned for the equipment violation and no insurance.

8:36 p.m. Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle outside of a residence. Once police were on scene the caller came outside and learned they knew the person in the vehicle. No issues.

Jan. 14

12:02 a.m.

Stanley Police conducted a traffic stop in the Village of Boyd for an equipment violation (no taillamp on driver’s side). The driver advised and showed he had the tail light assembly and just needed to affix it to the vehicle. Verbal warning.

12:14 a.m. Traffic stop conducted for multiple moving violations. The driver was warned.

12:45 a.m. A traffic stop was made for a moving violation, the driver being warned. 1:12 a.m.

A traffic stop was made for multiple moving violations, the driver being warned.

1:21 a.m. Police responded to a 911 open line. Contact made with occupants of residence. No issues observed.

3:14 p.m. Stanley Police requested for a check person call in Boyd. Officer made contacts with involved parties and determined everything was ok.

4:08 p.m. Complaint regarding some left over Redi- Mix Concrete that was dumped on a property on Sawmill Road. The party responsible was contacted by phone and advised. Nothing further at this time.

5:40 p.m. Check person/disturbance reported at the Stanley Travel Stop. Report to follow.

8:08 p.m. Police responded to a check vehicle complaint. The vehicle was legally parked and unattended.

Jan. 15

4:08 p.m.

Traffic stop conducted with the result that

Gary Zuleger, age 34 of Stanley, was cited for expired registration.

4:27 p.m. Officer flagged down and advised that someone was locked out of their vehicle at Kwik Trip. Upon arrival the driver was able to get in without assistance.

Jan. 16

2:42 a.m. Police responded to an EMS call in the 700 block of North Emery Street and assisted as needed.

7:55 a.m. Stanley Police were requested for a vehicle lockout. The vehicle was opened.

9:37 a.m. Stanley Police were requested for an EMS call in the 100 block of South Frederick Street in Boyd. Officer responded and assisted as needed.

10:15 a.m. Information was received from the city wastewater department on an issue at the station in Pine Court.

3:42 p.m. Stanley Police took a report of possible child abuse that had occurred in the city. Incident under investigation.
