August 3 9:20 a.m. Report of young people climbing the grain bin legs at River Country Co-op in the Village of Boyd. Upon speaking to staff it was revealed the young people lived nearby. A meeting was held in which the young people confessed to trespassing and they with their parents advised that further trespassing would not be tolerated but result in charges being filed.
8:47 p.m. Police received a stray dog from a concerned citizen. The owner was quickly located and the dog returned.
10:20 p.m. Police responded to an EMS call and assisted as needed.
August 4 3:59 a.m.
A traffic stop was conducted for a moving violation and the driver was warned.
10:11 a.m. While conducting a vehicle search warrant, five checks that were presumed to be forged were located in the passenger’s possession/property. The victim was later contacted and advised the checks had been stolen and forged. The owner will be contacting the Eau Claire PD to file a formal complaint. They also advised that this has been an on-going issues with other checks and a debit card stolen and used without consent of the owner. The checks will be held in evidence until they’re turned over to Eau Claire PD for further investigation. 1:58 p.m.
Theft complaint. Still investigating.
2:12 p.m.
A dump truck clipped a neutral wire causing damage to it. Xcel was advised and the driver’s information was gathered. No injuries or damage to the truck. 8:40 p.m.
Police responded to an EMS call in Boyd and assisted as needed. 9:16 p.m.
A traffic stop was conducted for a moving violation, with the result that Jessica Faulkner, age 23 of Minnesota was cited for 89 mph in a 65 mph zone. 11:28 p.m.
A traffic stop was conducted for a moving violation and the driver was warned.
