The Orioles girls cross country team placed second out of thirteen teams at Levis Mound Trails on Tuesday Sept. 16. Girls results include Haylee Shakal with 22:09 to place second, Mariah Wehling with 22:16 to place fifth, Lucy Wundrow with 22:44 to place eighth, Ava Kempf with 24:16 to place 18th, Annalysse Kramschuster with 26:06 to place 31st, Kora Pennala with 28:14 to place 48th, Mayah Mahr with 29:22 to place 54th, and Ziva Blair with 32:02 to place 62nd.
As for the boys, the Oriole varsity was able to take home fourth place despite being without one of their top runners. John Smit finished 18:17 to take 7th place, Cameron Natzke finished 20:31 to take 27th, Hunter Ogle with 21:20 to place 23rd, Eli Lilla finished 23:26 to place 52nd, Seth Lila finished 23:29 to finish 53rd, Lance Kelly finished 23:34 to place 56th, and Ben Henderson with 27:41 to finish 85th.

As for this week, the Orioles ran at Cadott on Tuesday, Sept. 23 after press time and have a nighttime race on Friday Sept. 26 in Marshfield.
