Stanley-Boyd’s Mike Karlen (above) and Cooper Nichols (below) have again been keys to the Oriole offense this season. Each scored two toucdowns and Lucas Smith scored the other as the Orioles rolled over Neillsville-Granton, 37-0, at home Friday night. “I thought our team showed better discipline Friday night. The game was physical and the team really responded with physical play instead of roughness after the play. We did not play our best but it was nice to be successful without playing our best football,” commented Coach Jeff Koenig. The going won’t be as easy this week, as the Orioles play Saturday at 1 p.m. against Eau Claire Regis at the Regis athletic field. “Regis will be our biggest test of the year. They have a steady supply of talent and will be looking to knock us off,” said Koenig. Photos by Heather Vait.
