The Stanley Community Association’s annual Trunk or Treat event drew an impressive crowd this year, welcoming more than 600 trick-or-treaters to Chapman Park for a morning of festive, family-friendly fun.
Children had the chance to visit creatively decorated trunks, hosted by a wonderful mix of local businesses, organizations, and community groups. Participants included: Edson-Hilltop 4-H, Warm Kids Wisconsin, FFA, Stanley Lions, Stanley-Boyd Area Food Pantry, Girl Scouts, Trinity Vineyard Church, Lauren the Cellist/NorthWoods Strings, LifeWise Academy Stanley-Boyd, Marine Credit Union, Korenuk’s Heating & Cooling, SCS Stanley Apartments, Stanley-Boyd School District, Stanley VFW & Legion, Stanley Chamber of Commerce, Martino’s, Tru Touch of Broadway Photography, Lakken’s Legacy, and Beautiful Horizons Child Care Center, Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Stanley Fire Department, Boyd Ambulance Service and D.R. Moon Library. Event goers enjoyed a festive sound track provided by local teachers Mr. & Mrs. Halterman
Families enjoyed safe trick-or-treating, festive decorations, and a strong sense of community throughout the park. The Stanley Community Association extends heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers, participants, and sponsors who helped make the event possible. In addition to providing a safe place for families to trick or treat, this event also benefits the Stanley-Boyd Food Pantry–this year through “Stuff the Trunk” the community donated 141 pounds of food and a total of $79.00 to help provide nutrition to those in need in the area.
“This event really shows what community spirit looks like,” said organizers. “We’re so proud to see our community come together to create such a fun, safe Halloween tradition for local families.”
The Stanley Community Association looks forward to continuing this popular event and other family-centered activities throughout the year. Join us for BINGO on Sunday January 18th at the Stanley Community Building. Doors open at noon - BINGO starts at 1 p.m.
