Free event open to community with business registration through October 15
Lori Klonowski Cooley The Stanley Community Association will be holding a Trunk or Treat event at Courtesy Ford this October 30.
The event, free to the public and with businesses and organizations able to register for a “Trunk” through October 15, is meant to be a fun community gathering.
“This is not a fundraiser for the SCA,” Kristi Weiland shared as SCA President regarding the late October gathering. “It is just a nice family event.”
In addition to plain old fun, the FFA is going to be selling food at the event and there will also be activities for kids to do. So just what is a ‘Trunk and Treat,’ or what might it mean for a business that registers? “At a trunk or treat, businesses or organizations decorate a trunk, in a family friendly Halloween theme, at the car lot and hand out candy, that they provide, from the trunk,“ SCA President Weiland explained. “So the kids wear their costumes and can trick or treat going from trunk to trunk. It’s a nice safe option, as it will be on a the service road that will be blocked off from traffic,” she said of the October 30 Trunk or Treat event at Courtesy Ford from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Those businesses wishing to learn more or register for a “Trunk” can email [email protected] until October 15 to get registered and for more information.
