The Stanley Community Endowment Fund, was endowed through the Community Foundation of Chippewa County in October 2018, as a result of over 50 donors and due to the Leadership of the Stanley Lions Club. Thanks to them, the Fund this year has $1,303 to award to Stanley community projects.

Again, due to limited funds, non-profit groups applying for grants should limit their requests to less than $500 and requests for even smaller amounts are encouraged. Non-profit and 502 (c)3 organizations in the Stanley Area are encouraged to apply. Applications for the following type projects will be considered: projects that fulfill unmet needs, one-time projects, special programs serving others, striving to improve the quality of life in the community, and making a difference are encouraged to apply. Grants will not be made to directly support individuals and routine operating expenditures of an organization.

Groups or organizations interested in applying should submit no more than a one page typed proposal on how they would use the grant funding. Deadline for receiving pro- posals will be Friday, January 27, 2023. The Grants Committee will meet shortly after that and make the awards decision. Written proposals should be mailed or delivered to the Stanley City Hall at: Stanley Community Fund Grants Request, % Stanley City Clerk, 353 S. Broadway, Stanley, WI 54768.

The Stanley Community Fund is intended to provide a way for local people, businesses and organizations to give back to the community and support the improvement of the quality of life in the Stanley Area. Donations are welcome anytime and can be made by writing a check to CFCC – Stanley Community Fund and sending it to: Community Foundation of Chippewa County, 404 ½ N Bridge Street, PO Box 153, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729. All donations are then applied to the Stanley Community Fund. During the Fiscal Year 2022 (7-1-21 and 6-30-2022) the fund received $3,590 in gifts. Thank you to those who donated this past year. Gifts to this fund keep on giving each year.
