Mark your calendars if you haven’t already. The 51st Annual Stanley Lions Watermelon Fest is coming to Chapman Park Sunday July 27.
With 51 years of watermelon based fun, this year’s event will have a craft show and flea market, car show, 5k run and walk, kids run with the Lions, Charcoal Chicken Dinner, Cake Walk, Kids Games, Bingo, and a Raffle Drawing, as well as concession stand open all day.
“The two most popular events for kids are the cake walk and 400 yard race,” Lion Gary Krueger shared.
“Kids especially like the cake walk because they can win delicious, homemade cakes. Kids also enjoy running the 400 yard race with Cheech the Lion and receiving a treat afterwards. Of course, everyone enjoys the free, cool, refreshing watermelon.”
Free watermelon will be available from 11 a.m. onwards at Sunday, July 27 Lions Watermelon Festival in Chapman Park.
