The Stanley Lions Club has approved spending $1,000 to help Stanley residents replace trees they lost during the tornado. The shade trees, mostly Maple, will arrive just prior to Arbor Day, April 28. Residents will need to pick up the tree and plant it themselves. $1,000 will only purchase 13 trees (12 feet high) so if you are interested, please hurry to get on the list by contacting Lions Club Member Jim Jones at [email protected] Only one tree per resident.
