During the first two weeks of October members of the Stanley Lions Club performed vision screening on 497 students from Stanley Elementary School, St. Joseph Elementary School, Boyd Early Learning Center, and Fireside Friends Childcare Center in Stanley. The screenings resulted in 53 referrals for further evaluation. Lions members who helped out with the vision screening as pictured above from left to right are Patricia Jankoski, David Winkler, Mary Jo Winkler, Gary Krueger, and Bettie Stopka. Missing from the picture are Mary Dirkes and Dorothy Goodman.
