October 23 9:37 p.m.
Stanley Police were called to the 900 block of Emery Street for a harassment complaint deemed unfounded at the time. The caller was advised to not respond to unrecognized numbers. Police advised extra patrols would be conducted and for the complainant to call 911 should anything suspicious happen. October 24 10:43 a.m.
Stanley Police were called to the 200 block of Lincoln Street to assist the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office regarding a “verbal altercation.” Assistance was provided until no longer needed.
9:19 p.m.
Stanley Police were requested to assist EMS in the 800 block of North Franklin Street. Assistance was provided until no longer needed. October 26 3:27 p.m.
Stanley Police were requested for a vehicle lockout.
4:00 p.m.
Police were requested to respond to a residence in the City of Stanley for an EMS call. Responded and assisted as needed.
October 27 1:43 a.m.
Police were requested to respond to State Highway 29 for an injured deer in the roadway. Report taken.
3:34 p.m.
A vehicle was stopped for speeding in a school zone. Vehicle operator Dominic Strum, age 43, was cited for a speeding violation.
October 28 2:06 p.m.
Officer assisted with unlocking a vehicle in the City of Stanley.
5:20 p.m.
A dog was brought to the Police Department after being located running loose in the road near County O and County G. Owner was later identified and they responded to the PD to take ownership of the dog.
7:40 p.m.
Stanley Police Department checked on a vehicle that was pulled over on Highway 29 at the eastbound ramp. Contact was made with the driver Nicholas DeNaples, of unclear age, who was ultimately cited for operating after suspension.
October 29 8:12 a.m.
Thorp Police requested mutual aid in the City of Thorp. Assistance was provided as required until no longer needed.
11:08 a.m.
Kwik Trip staff requested an officer witness a discussion with a customer who was unable to pay for gas, but advised that they would be returning the next day. Upon arrival, staff advised that the driver took off but they were able to provide the officer with driver’s information. Officer advised they would follow up with Kwik Trip the following Monday. The gas bill was settled.
2:33 p.m.
Stanley Police were called by school staff to the Stanley-Boyd School where a boy was reported to be out of control, physical with staff, and calling instructor’s names. Mom arrived and was notified the boy would need to leave for the remainder of the day, but allowed to return tomorrow. The boy left with mom.
October 30 6:29 a.m.
Officer requested for help with a vehicle lockout. Vehicle opened. 10:16 a.m.
Stanley Police were called to the Stanley Correctional Institution for an assault that had reportedly occurred between two inmates. Incident under investigation.
12:17 a.m.
A woman reported theft and fraudulent use of her credit card. Incident under investigation.
2:00 p.m.
Police were requested to assist the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office with a call north of Stanley.
4:34 p.m.
Police were requested for a welfare check on someone in the City of Stanley. Contact was made and it appeared the person was fine. 6:18 p.m. Police were requested for a business alarm at an unspecified address. 10:07 p.m. Police were requested to respond to Our Lady of Victory Hospital to assist the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
