STANLEY POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS

October 2 8:18 a.m.

Report received of a theft of medication and cigarettes from an unlocked vehicle overnight in the 200 block of Second Avenue.

4:57 p.m.

Officer requested to respond to the Village of Boyd to assist the Boyd Police Department with a disturbance. While

on the way officer was advised they could disregard.

9:43 p.m.

Stanley Police were called to a residence in the 200 block of East Second Avenue. Upon completion of the call, 32-yearold Jessica Kettle and 47-yearold Gerald Kettle of Stanley were both cited for Disorderly Conduct.

October 3 3:32 p.m.

A traffic stop was conducted.

3:52 p.m.

Stanley Police Department requested for a cat underneath a car at a residence on North Broadway Street. The owner later contacted the Stanley Police Department to report that the animal was hers and it was subsequently returned.

5:18 p.m.

Officer requested for an erratic driver on State Highway 29 eastbound. Vehicle was located and followed and no violations were observed.

6:59 p.m.

Stanley Police Department was requested for a vehicle lockout.

October 4 2:48 a.m.

A traffic stop was conducted for an OWI related arrest. No name given.

3:15 a.m.

for a hit and run accident, in which Rebecca Johnson, age 27 of Cadott, was cited for Hit and Run and Inattentive Driving.

2:04 p.m.

Vehicle stopped for moving violation and Tammy Stein, age 50, cited for a speeding violation.

2:28 p.m.

Vehicle stopped for registration violation. Driver was warned and given ten days to comply. 2:35 p.m.

Requested for a dog running at large in the 100 block of East Sixth Avenue. Dog returned s to owner. 6:13 p.m.

Stanley Police Officer Trey requested to assist the Thorp Police Department on a traffic stop. 7:30 p.m.

Police observed a traffic complaint in the Stanley Travel Stop parking lot.

7:32 p.m.

Police were requested for a traffic complaint.

October 5 1:52 p.m.

Verbal altercation reported at unspecified address. 4:34 p.m.

Civil process papers served without incident and later scanned into the incident. Papers were also faxed to the Chippewa County Clerk of Courts.

5:11 p.m.

Joanna Yeager, age 37, was cited for violation of a child restraint requirement as the result of a traffic stop.

October 6 7:35 a.m.

Check person complaint.

8:10 a.m.

Staff at the Eternity Learning Center reported a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot. Contact was later made with the registered owner of the vehicle who was advised to remove the vehicle.

9:46 a.m.

Officer assisted Thorp Police with a building check located in the City of Thorp. Officer provided assistance until no longer needed.

12:21 p.m.

A woman reported suspicious behavior at her home.

6:05 p.m.

Stanley Police conducted a traffic stop on Fourth Avenue and North Broadway Street. The vehicle operator was given a warning for non-registration of auto.

6:30 p.m.

Stanley Police were requested on Highway 29 eastbound for a possible road-rage incident involving a white Chevy Equinox. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.

8:59 p.m.

Traffic complaint received of vehicles engaged in exhibition driving at the Stanley-Boyd Area School. Area checked and no vehicles were observed matching the description given.

9:44 p.m.

Stanley Police were requested for an active disturbance with a male reportedly breaking items in a group home on the city’s north side in the 600 block of Park Avenue. Officers arrived on scene, nothing was broken and officers were able to calm the person down.

October 7 7:48 a.m.

Vehicle stopped for moving violation. As a result of the traffic stop Gayleen Webster, age 50, was cited for not having proof of insurance.

12:11 p.m.

Requested at the Stanley-Boyd Schools for two juveniles that had been vaping in the bathroom. It was determined that an adult had purchased the e-cigarette for one of the young people. They were cited.

4:59 p.m.

Officer requested for a vehicle fire in the City of Stanley. Responded and stood by while officer was on scene.
