September 20 1:16 a.m.
Stanley police were called to the 200 block of Garfield Street for a complaint involving a young person.
2:31 a.m.
K9 Officer Trey was requested to assist the Altoona Police Department.
9:38 a.m.
A man contacted the Stanley Police Department in reference to a child custody matter. The man was advised he needed to contact the court or his attorney for further assistance.
12:35 p.m.
Stanley Police were requested for a vehicle operating erratically on STH 29 eastbound. Vehicle was located and stopped. Contact was made with the operator who agreed to turn over driving duties to another passenger due to being tired.
3:32 p.m.
An officer was requested for a female sitting near the railroad tracks that was crying. Contact was made with the female and it was determined that she was upset because her cat had been cut in half by the train. September 21 12:24 p.m.
A vehicle lockout was requested and completed successfully with no issues. Waiver form was completed and attached to the incident.
1:41 p.m.
Gerald L. Gordon arrested for felony bond jumping after submitting a preliminary breath test with a result of 0.011. Gordon was provided a felony bond sheet with a court date/time and released. 2:03 p.m.
Vehicle lockout conducted and waiver completed without incident. 3:22 p.m.
Miscellaneous complaint received regarding text messages between acquaintances. Messages did not appear to threaten the complainant’s personal safety. The complainant could not give specific details as to what was the cause of the problem and was advised to end all contact with the acquaintance and anyone else that may be texting him. Complainant was advised to contact the police if anyone came to his residence uninvited.
7:31 p.m.
Stanley Police were called to highway 29 westbound to assist Clark County with a traffic complaint of a black Range Rover with Minnesota plates traveling at a high rate of speed. The call originated from Marathon County where a State Trooper stopped the vehicle for a speed violation. When the trooper stepped out of his squad the vehicle fled and a pursuit was initiated. Clark County located the vehicle and attempted to stop it as the vehicle exited at the 101 mile marker at over 100 mph. Stanley Police lost visual of the vehicle and a witness later stopped to advise the Range Rover got back on highway 29 at a high rate of speed.
10:13 p.m.
Stanley Police received an anonymous complaint of erratic driving on highway 29 westbound near Copenhaver Avenue. Police located the vehicles on the Express Mart property. As a result of the subsequent contact and investigation, Miguel Soares, age 20, was cited for violation of absolute sobriety, urinating in public, and underage possession/ consumption of alcohol.
September 22 8:25 a.m.
Haedynn Leazott, age 18, was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and transported to the Chippewa County Jail.
11:45 a.m.
Thomas C. Morales was arrested for a DOC warrant. Morales was transported for the Stanley Correctional Institution to the Chippewa County Jail and turned over to the custody of the jail staff.
9:08 p.m.
Stanley Police were called to assist Clark County with attempting to stop a vehicle that was stolen out of Green Bay. Clark County advised the vehicle had skipped out on paying for fuel in Thorp and continued westbound on highway 29. Police responded to highway 29 but were unable to locate the vehicle. The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office was able to intercept the vehicle west of Stanley.
September 23 8:58 a.m.
Officer responded to Hansen’s IGA for a medical call and assisted as needed.
September 24 4:55 p.m.
Officer responded in the area of Barber Street for what sounded like animals fighting. Nothing was located.
5:47 p.m.
Officer requested for a 911 call at a group home in Stanley, being advised in route that he could disregard. Officer responded and made contact and was advised that everything was fine.
September 26 8:07 a.m.
A dog of black lab/mixed heritage was located running loose on South Broadway near Hansen’s IGA. Officer attempted to grab the broken cable still connected to the collar but the dog took off. It was later located at an address and contact made with the owner.
1:22 p.m.
Ongoing issues with group home client at an address unspecified in the call log.
2:27 p.m.
A man contacted the Stanley Police Department to report a white Chevy Cavalier driving fast up and down the alley behind his home. Area was checked and nothing was located.
10:44 p.m.
Stanley Police were requested for extra patrol on Barber Street. Complainant advised that someone had knocked on her door and left the area. The area was checked and nothing was located.
September 27 5:50 a.m.
Stanley Police responded to an address in the 100 block of Barber Street for a fire response call. The employee of a group home was worried that a water heater with the alarm going off put client safety in danger. The officer removed the clients from the group home and had them stand safely by the squad car. Stanley Fire arrived and determined the scene to be safe and all occupants were returned to the home. 6:20 p.m.
Stanley Police were called to the Homeplace for an activated fire alarm. While en route, the alarm company advised all responding units they could disregard as it was a false alarm. 11:58 p.m.
Stanley Police were called to the area of 6th Avenue and Broadway Street for a man who was walking around the area and yelling.
September 28 6:32 a.m.
Report of a dog running at large in the 300 block of Lincoln Street.
8:16 a.m.
Criminal damage report was received. Upon viewing the surveillance photo from the 300 block of North Franklin Street, it was determined that the damage was caused by an intoxicated neighbor who had fallen into a fence while attempting to use the bathroom outside. 10:49 a.m.
Assistance provided to EMS as required.
1:45 p.m.
Officer requested for a report of a dog locked in an unattended vehicle. Upon arrival, the vehicle windows were determined to be open approximately two inches and it was 55 degrees at the time. Contact was made with the owner who had been in the store and additional concern noted.
3:55 p.m.
A traffic complaint was received regarding a vehicle driving erratically but ended up being determined as unfounded.
10:08 p.m.
Police were requested for a noise complaint and suspicious activity at the Grant Street Apartments.
September 29 8:02 a.m.
Officer requested for a 911 misdial in the 100 block of East Sixth Avenue. Officer responded to the residence in question and determined everything was fine.
9:03 a.m.
Requested for a two-vehicle accident in the parking lot at the Stanley-Boyd High School.
3:44 p.m.
Officer was requested to respond to Open Doors for a complaint involving a young person. A citation was mailed to the young person for possessing nicotine products.
6:26 p.m.
Police took a barking dog complaint with no address being specified.
September 30 4:03 a.m.
Stanley Police Department was requested to assist the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office with a semi vs. deer accident on STH 29 just west of CTH G.
6:07 a.m.
Kwik Trip staff contacted the Stanley Police Department to report a man sleeping near the LP tanks in front of the store. Contact was made and it was determined that he had been locked out of his house after failing to come home before curfew, and that family would be coming to pick him up later that morning. The man was provided a ride to his address by Stanley law enforcement.
12:39 p.m.
A dead cat was located in an unspecified city sewer drain on a street corner. Upon removing the cat, no tags or collar were located. Cause of death was not deemed suspicious. The cat was full grown, grey and white in color.
1:17 p.m.
Officer requested for a vehicle lockout. Waiver form filled out and vehicle was unlocked without incident.
3:33 p.m.
A sex offense complaint was reported. Still investigating.
4:53 p.m.
Animal complaint. Still investigating.
6:02 p.m.
A miscellaneous complaint was received from a Bloomer woman.
