January 29 11:13 a.m.

Traffic complaint reported by Clark County Sheriff’s Office regarding a vehicle deviating from land and almost striking another vehicle. Responded to Highway 29 but was later advised that the vehicle turned off Highway 29. Area was checked but the vehicle was not located. 5:27 p.m.

Vehicle lockout. Upon arrival, the complainant advised that she would contact her husband for the spare key after unsuccessful attempts to open the door.

6:34 p.m.

Stanley Police were called to Kwik Trip for a theft of fuel complaint. Contact with the suspect was made and she advised that she would contact Kwik Trip and make arrangements to pay for the fuel. Follow up with Kwik Trip was conducted and the woman was given until February 3rd 2021 to pay. Fuel was paid for and payment confirmed by Kwik Trip.

7:13 p.m.

Stanley Police were informed of a missing female silver lab that got loose from the 400 block of North Franklin Street.

8:43 p.m.

Stanley Police were called to highway 29 eastbound for a complaint of a black car that was harassing a semi truck by leaving the high beams on and refusing to pass. A traffic stop was conducted whereon the vehicle driver stated it was simply an accident and that the semi swerved at her so she was nervous to pass it. January 30 1:27 p.m.

A man at the Emery House Group Home contacted the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office to report that he was suicidal and staff wouldn’t allow him to smoke. The call was disconnected, however, dispatch was able to identify the caller by first name. While traveling on North Broadway Stanley Police were waved down by a man who was walking and appeared to be upset. The man, who was later identified as the caller, was given a ride to the Stanley Police Department where he spoke further. Northwest Connections was contacted. A phone staff member spoke to the man and a mobile worker was contacted to respond to the police department. Cadott police assisted with the mental health call while Stanley Police were placing phone calls. After the mobile worker spoke to the man, it was determined that a safety plan was appropriate and the man was later returned to the group home without incident.

January 31 Tractor/Trailer was pulled off to the side of the road near mile marker 101 of Highway 29 eastbound. Contact was made with the driver who stated that he was tired. Officer advised him to move to the Stanley Travel Stop. Nothing suspicious wasobserved.

9:40 a.m.

A man was warned for his dog running at large and also instructed to get the dog licensed at the Stanley City Clerk’s Office. Dog was let out by accident and was reported running at large by a neighbor.

February 1 6:36 p.m.

Stanley Police were requested to assist the Cadott Police Department with a traffic stop. February 2 7:01 a.m.

Stanley Police were requested for a two-vehicle accident. Contact was made with both individuals. They advised the damage was minor and requested to cancel their complaint.

Stanley Police administered daily PBT to a woman, Barbara L. Molash, age 60. The PBT indicated the presence of intoxicants, and Molash was arrested for felony bail jumping.

February 3 3:00 a.m.

Stanley Police were requested to assist the Clark County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop. Report taken.

8:48 a.m.

Stanley-Boyd Schools reported some concerns regarding an on-going investigation. Contact was made with staff who was advised about the incident and to contact law enforcement if there were any other concerns.

10:05 a.m.

Fuel theft of $27.31 reported from the Stanley Travel Stop.

5:23 p.m.

Assisted Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office with a one-vehicle crash with injury at the listed location. Upon arrival it was later determined that the accident was in Taylor County. Officer stood by and assisted until no longer needed.

February 4 4:03 a.m.

Police responded to a complaint involving a young person on Garfield Street.

6:44 a.m.

A vehicle slid off the road at an unspecified location. Driver was identified and there did not appear to be any damage. The driver was warned for speed and the vehicle pulled out by a family member. The driver drove the vehicle from the scene without incident. Not reportable. 3:27 p.m. Dog at large was caught and later turned over by a neighbor, who also had a dog.

4:33 p.m.

Vehicle slide-in reported. Vehicle pulled out by Breezy Acres. No reported damage.

February 5 2:14 a.m.

Police responded to a 911 hang up from the vicinity of the Grant Street Apartments.

12:26 a.m.

Fuel theft reported from the Stanley Travel Stop in the amount of $30.

12:31 p.m.

Report received of a vehicle driving recklessly in the parking lot of Hansen’s IGA.

5:17 p.m.

Assistance provided to the Wisconsin State Patrol with a traffic stop on State Highway 29 in the City of Stanley.

10:16 p.m.

Police requested for a business alarm. Report taken.

February 6 9:55 a.m.

Requested at a Stanley business for a gas drive-off. Information was located based on partial registration given. Owner of vehicle returned to pay for gas.

2:41 p.m.

Stanley Police were requested for a vehicle that went in the ditch on State Highway 29. The vehicle was located in the ditch on the westbound entrance ramp. Contact was made with the individual. As a result of the contact, Kyra Ellenberger, age 28, was cited for Too Fast For Conditions, Operating without Insurance, Operating While Suspended, and for Non-Registration.

3:31 p.m.

A traffic stop was conducted for speeding, with the result that Robert Stuart, age 39, was cited for speeding.

February 7 1:28 p.m.

Stanley Police requested for an alarm at a Stanley business. It appeared to be a false alarm, and the keyholder was unable to respond.

8:55 p.m.

Stanley Police were requested for a miscellaneous complaint in the 100 block of Barber Street. Report taken.

February 8 2:05 a.m.

Police were requested for a business alarm, with report taken.

10:06 a.m.

Police responded to a vehicle lockout request. Lockout form completed and vehicle opened without issue.
