Stanley Police assisted Boyd officer on a traffic stop.

9:31 p.m.

Stanley Police were called to Highway 29 eastbound for a traffic complaint. The vehicle was not located.

January 3 10:18 a.m.

Assisted EMS for a young person having a seizure at an unlisted address.

12:42 p.m.

Austin Engelke, age 18, arrested for sexual assault of a child under the age of 13. Engelke was transported to the Chippewa County Jail and turned over to jail staff. 2:46 p.m.

Stanley Police were called to the 500 block of East 8th Avenue for a missing young person case. The young person was entered as missing. 3:46 p.m.

Complaint made in relation to sexual assault. Still investigating.

January 4 1:45 p.m.

Requested for loud noises coming from a residence. Determined to be television noises.

7:16 p.m.

Personal welfare check requested.

7:29 p.m.

Report of a theft of fuel from the Stanley Express Mart.

8:55 p.m.

Police requested for a crisis intervention. Report taken.

January 5 3:15 a.m.

Report received of two hang-up calls in the 700 block of North Franklin Street. 6:30 a.m.

Requested to respond to the Homeplace for a patient that had taken a nurses keys. The keys were returned upon police arrival. 7:14 a.m.

Requested to assist the Clark County Sheriff’s Department in making contact with a person in reference to a vehicle in the ditch. Contact was made.

12:16 p.m.

Stanley Police requested by Life Station for an EMS call. Determined to be an accidental dial. 8:57 p.m.

A personal welfare check was requested.

January 6 6:06 p.m.

Stanley Police were called to State Highway 29 for the report of a vehicle that was eastbound on the highway from highway 27 in Cadott that had occupants and a suspect of a kidnapping as reported by the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office in Minnesota. While awaiting for additional updates on the vehicle’s location, a Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department Deputy located the vehicle at the truck stop in Cadott and the matter was handled by other units in the area without further assistance. January 7 3:27 p.m.

Report of an incident involving drugs being exchanged between a middle school and high school student on school property. January 8 9:11 p.m.

Police were requested for a traffic complaint on State Highway 29. Report taken.

10:01 p.m.

Police were requested for a traffic complaint on Highway 29. Report taken.

January 9 12:16 a.m.

A traffic stop was conducted for an equipment violation, with no location specified.

1:55 p.m.

Stanley Police requested for a possible crisis intervention. The person was not located and an attempt to locate was put out for the person to check their welfare. 4:50 p.m.

On Saturday, January 9, 2021 at approximately 4:49 p.m., Stanley Police were requested for a possible domestic situation at a residence in the City of Stanley. Those involved were questioned and released, with a report to follow.

10:39 p.m.

Police were requested for a neighbor dispute, Report taken.

January 10 Police were requested to assist with an EMS call in the City of Stanley. They responded and assisted as needed.

January 12 12:22 a.m.

Stanley Police were called to the 100 block of Barber Street for a check person complaint. The caller stated she could hear what sounded like knocking on the back door. Nothing was found. 2:25 a.m.

Stanley Police were called to the 400 block of Grant Street for an anonymous noise complaint. Report to follow. 10:31 a.m.

Police were called to the first floor of the Grant Street Apartments for an elderly woman who had fallen and struck her head. Stanley Police stood by at the located until Boyd EMS responded. January 13 4:12 p.m.

Requested at the Stanley Correctional Facility for the death of an inmate. Information documented. 4:35 p.m.

Young person case. Report to follow. No further details available. 7:16 p.m.

Police were requested for a personal welfare check. Report taken. 10:18 p.m.

Police requested for a possible domestic disturbance.

January 14 6:24 a.m.

Requested for a vehicle lockout. Vehicle was opened.

3:52 p.m.

Requested for a dog running at large in the 700 block of Emery Street. Upon arrival dog was no longer around. January 15 Two-vehicle crash with no personal injuries.

7:32 p.m.

Stanley Police were called to the 100 block of East Fourth Avenue for a drug related EMS call, possible overdose. Police arrived and secured the scene for EMS personnel. Assistance was provided to EMS staff until no longer needced. Drugs and drug paraphernalia were recovered and taken into evidence.

January 16 7:23 p.m.

Stanley Police responded to the 200 block of East Third Avenue to assist with an EMS call. Assistance was provided until no longer needed. 10:53 p.m.

Stanley Police were called to the 800 block of North Franklin Street for a check person cal. Caller stated that he let his dogs out and thought he saw two people flee from his backyard, running eastbound. He was unable to get a description but believed them to be young people. Snow tracks indicat-

ed two people were involved. Nothing was out of order and an extra patrol was conducted in the area.
