Stanley Rodeo Queen Program launches ahead of June Crowning

Posted

The Stanley Rodeo is introducing an exciting new tradition this year with the launch of the Stanley Rodeo Queen Program, celebrating young women who represent the spirit of rodeo, agriculture, and western heritage in the Chippewa Valley.
The program highlights leadership, horsemanship, and community involvement while promoting the sport of rodeo and the agricultural lifestyle that supports it. Throughout the spring and early summer, contestants will represent the Stanley Rodeo at events and activities across the region, helping build excitement for one of the area’s most anticipated western events.
Leading up to the rodeo season, the candidates will make appearances around the Chippewa Valley, meeting community members and promoting the Stanley Rodeo at local events, businesses, and gatherings. Their role as ambassadors helps strengthen connections between the rodeo, local agriculture, and the surrounding communities.
As part of the competition process, candidates will meet with judges and participate in interviews that test their knowledge of rodeo, the PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association), and agriculture. These interviews help determine how well each contestant can represent the rodeo industry and the values that come with it.
The program will culminate in a special crowning ceremony on Saturday, June 13, during the Top Hand Challenge Fun Show at the Stanley Rodeo Arena. During the event, the first Stanley Rodeo Queen and Princess will officially be crowned, marking the beginning of their year representing the Stanley Rodeo and the surrounding community.
Community members are encouraged to attend the fun show and help celebrate the inaugural year of the program.
