Stanley Rodeo to debut Friday June 16

It’s time once more for the Stanley PRCA Rodeo, with a parade sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce.

The Rodeo kicks off Thursday, June 15 with the Queen Coronation and Grand Marshal Presentation at 6 p.m. at the Stanley Theater.

Following Friday June 16 at Chapman, the food stand opens at 4 p.m. with rodeo gates open at 6 p.m.

Coming at 7:30 p.m. June 16, a professional rodeo performance will be had, with the Brady Luke Band returning this year for a concert at 9 p.m.

As in previous years, Saturday and Sunday will have a Cowboy Breakfast starting at 7 a.m., with events planned throughout the weekend, a kiddie parade at 1:45 p.m. followed with the regular parade at 2 p.m.

Sunday afternoon, a charcoal chicken dinner will be had at the Community Center at 11 a.m. with a professional old fashioned horse pull Sunday June 18 at 1 p.m., across from Chapman Park.

As for tickets to the Rodeo, advance one day tickets are $20 for adult and $10 for children, with tickets at the gate being $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under.

Only 2,700 tickets are available per performance, so get yours now! Tickets are available now at www.stanleyrodeo.com (the ONLY authorized website for rodeo ticket sales), and at the Stanley Republican newspaper office from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. as well as Wednesdays at the Park from 5 to 8 p.m.
