The Stanley Truck and Tractor Pull has been honored by the Wisconsin Truck Pull Association (WTPA), with the Stanley Truck and Tractor Pull named the WTPA State Event of the Year.
“In its first year with the WTPA, the Stanley Truck and Tractor Pull set the tone right out of the gate as the new season opener,” the WTPA said in a statement announcing the honor. “In doing so they were named the WTPA State Event of the Year. Join us in congratulating their team. We look forward to returning for the next edition in June.”
Started in 2005, the Stanley Truck and Tractor Pull traditionally takes place in June at Chapman Park, just outside the Community Center. Last year it aligned with the WTPA and changed the event to Friday so as to not conflict with the Ellsworth pull, allowing more competitors at Stanley with an extended track. The WTPA is a member of the National Tractor Pullers Association (NTPA) and was founded in April 1970.
“The Wisconsin Tractor Pullers Association who the Stanley Truck and Tractor Pull partnered with last year gave us this award,” committee member Brooke Wampole said. “It was voted on by WTPA officials as well as pullers. Last year marked our first collaboration with WTPA and after the Pull, officials and pullers alike expressed how impressed they were with our event, with the track, and the large crowd we had. We have the best spectators and sponsors around, and it really shows. We couldn’t have this without them. We are excited to hold our 21st annual pull on June 6th with WTPA with the support of our community.”
