According to the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), there is an above average population of deer on Wisconsin’s landscape to provide success for hunters headed out for the gun deer season.
The long range weather forecast is predicting temperatures in the high 20’s and middle 30’s with minimal amounts of precipitation.
Good luck to all hunters headed out Saturday and remember to be safe by following the four rules of firearm safety:
• Treat every firearm as if it were loaded.
• Always keep your gun muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
• Be certain of your target and what is beyond.
• Keep your finger outside the trigger guard until ready to shoot.
