1919-2021
Stella Meyers, 101, of Eau Claire, formerly of Stanley, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Oakwood Health Systems. She was bom at home near Gilman, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Strzok) Turek. Stella attended area schools and later married Edward Meyers in Chicago, Illinois on September 23, 1936. The couple lived in Chicago until 1946 when they moved to Stanley.
Stella worked for Stanley Luggage Co, the Stanley Corporation and later Presto.
She is survived by her daughter, Beatrice “Bea” (Robert) Frazee of Eau Claire, two grandsons, Dean (Lori) Frazee of Charlotte, NC and David (Lisa) Frazee of Ashland, OH, four great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Stella is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ed in 1990, her brothers, Theodore, Leo, Edward, Clarence and Louis and one sister, Emily Bruch.
A private family service will be held with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
