Summer Reading Programs kickoff to fanfare Friday, May 3

Camp Read S’more, the Stanley-Boyd School District’s Summer library, kicked off it’s summer program at the D.R. Moon Memorial Library on Friday, May 3. Stanley-Boyd students from Kindergarten through Fifth grade took turns visiting the library to hear about some of the exciting events offered this summer including, Camping at the Library on May 30 at 10 a.m., Bird Watch Quest on June 13th at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., and Growing Mushrooms on June 27th at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., and much more. Students received fun goodie bags with games, books, crafts, stickers, and other program information.
Camp Read S’more will be visiting the Stanley-Boyd area every Thursday from May 16 through August 8 with Family Night on August 15. The Bookmobile will stop at the following locations rain or shine: Boyd Early Learning Center from 9:00 a.m. -10:35 a.m., Firehouse Friends from 11:00 am -11:45 a.m., Stanley-Boyd School from 12:00 p.m. -1:30 p.m., and Homeplace Pavilion from 1:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Students can earn Oriole Bucks and prizes each week along with a Field Trip on August 6th to Brunet Island Park.
