The Red Cross collected 66 units of blood at the Stanley-Boyd Community Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday, June 3, with a goal of 65, exceeding the goal by 1. This was a great success with the critical need for blood.
Those assisting with this drive were Holy Family, who allowed the use of their facility, FFA Alumni, volunteers from Stanley Lions Club and Partners With OLVH, other site volunteers, the volunteers who called donors, and all the donors who took their time to come in.
The next Stanley-Boyd Community Red Cross Blood Drive is August 6 at Trinity Vineyard Church from 12:00 to 6:00 pm. If you would like to make an appointment for this drive, please call Donella Christianson at 715644-3638.
Other upcoming drives for 2021 are October 16. The Christmas drive is not confirmed at
this time, but most likely will be December 23 because the 24 falls on Friday making it the Red Cross staff’s Christmas holiday off. If COVID is still an issue at that time, the drive may be held at the Boyd school gym for more room.
