Together with the good news that S. C. Swiderski LLC
is planning multifamily apartments in the East Business Park

Monte Shilts is in the process of designing and building duplexes for rent on Third Avenue. The news _rst came to light when Shilts, the owner of Shilts Properties LLC along with Premier Drywall of Stanley, sent a letter to the Common Council for a zoning
variance at 333 East Third Avenue. Which he received. Reached Monday, Shilts had more to say on the plans he
has in store for the Third Avenue property, along with a tentative open date. “Basically what I’m planning to do is putting in two duplexes,” Shilts said, adding that these would be two stories tall in contrast with a one-story unit he owns on Dahl Street. The planned Third Avenue duplexes will be three-bedroom, 2 bath, with an attached two-car garage and approximately 1,800 square feet apiece. Additionally, Shilts said that they would have a “large family room” upstairs, along with a kitchen and living room downstairs. “It’s probably close to a year out before we have
the _rst one done,” Shilts said of Third Avenue. Once the _rst is done, a second will hopefully be built in 2022.
