LETTER to the Editor
Man pays tribute to educator dedication
Dear Sir/Madam: I am writing with regards to all the rural schools in the Chippewa area, like Liberty Hill, Eidsvold, Breezy Hill, Busy Bee, and Rogers Creek in Clark County. My Dad attended Eidsvold, his teacher was Christine Jankoski. His name is William Thill.
Joyce Samuelson taught school at Kippenham and there was one more she taught at as well. There were other rural schools like Toutant School in Sigel township, along with one at the old Edson town hall I believe. There was also the Fagin grade school, but also Sol Mohr on G.
In closing, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the teachers out there who made rural education possible by giving their time, effort, strong will, and determination to deliver a true quality of education in whatever students were inspired to be. Through the efforts of teachers, students achieved a true greatness and new heights in academics.
As a former student myself I give thanks to my teachers and the good work they did, as well as that which teachers continue to do. You’ve earned it. I salute you for all that you do. Thank you. Don’t give up in the efforts you’ve made. May 3rd is National Teacher’s Day.
Thank you and take care, Frank Thill
