Come April 1, there’s an election. And while incumbents dominate the field, there are exceptions. Among contested seats are positions at Taft, Edson, and Thorp, for chairman, supervisor, and treasurer respectively.
Starting with Colburn, results from the Jan. 7 caucus show Brad Hompe for chairman, Kiel Morello and Steve Sime for supervisors, Jeff Milas for clerk, and Dana Hartzell for treasurer. All are incumbents. There was no candidate for constable.
As for Worden, results from the Jan. 13 nominating caucus show Earl Mathison for chairman, Dean Samuelson and Art Stolp for Supervisors, Jean Ketterhagen for Clerk, and Carmon Stolp for Treasurer. All are incumbents.
At Thorp, the Jan. 14 caucus nomination results show Michael Belke for chairman, Bob Kodl and Louis Andruszkiewicz for supervisors, Arlene Kodl for Clerk and a contested race for treasurer between Ray Jacks and Michelle Pogodzinski.
As for Delmar, results from the Jan. 18 cause show Dave Peterson for chairman, Brent Milas and Tyler Forman for supervisors, Julie Krcma-Peterson for clerk, Debbie Haas for Treasurer, and Eugene Ebert for constable.
At Edson, the Jan. 21 caucus results show Dan Pilgrim for chairman, Jim Junker for first supervisor, George Wellner and Shawn Stuttgen for second supervisor, Marie Wilbur for clerk and Kim Nelson for Treasurer.
At Taft Jan. 21, results show a contest between Darrell Thompson and Benjamin Niedzwiecki for chairman. Thompson is the incumbent, while Niedzwiecki is challenger. Also among caucus nominations at Taft are Delano Kroeplin and Jerry Czubakowski for supervisors, Lori Czubakowski for clerk, and Lana Knox for treasurer.
