greatest relevance is the posting of the Gilman Regular School Board Agenda to the town hall for May 2021. Among the many salient items are the following: 6.1 Pandemic Response Plan Review 7.5 Approve 2021-22 School Food Service Meal Costs and 9 Contemplated executive Session according to WSS

the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises

Butler
As to the township south of Worden, the regular meeting on June 9, 2021 at 8 p.m. at the corner of Dickerson and Capital was set to deal primarily with roads, outside of such ordinary business as the Treasurer’s Report along with Audit/Pay Bills.
Colburn
For those in Colburn, the now past meeting held Tuesday June 1 at 7:00 p.m. (as meetings are generally
held the first Tuesday of the month) is on the record per
the town hall door among other things as planning a discussion under item 6 related to “regulating campers in the Town,” without further details. The Town of Colburn website is www.colburntown.com.
Also listed on the Town Hall Door but without specifics
is a ‘road work discussion and update,’ with the town hall located just south of the intersection of County Highway G and County S.
Delmar
Nothing is listed save the prior month’s meeting agenda, with Delmar town meetings generally held the second week of the month.
Edson
The Town of Edson meeting agenda as listed for June 8 2021 at 7 p.m. included the opening of bids for crack
filling and chip seal along with acceptance or rejection of
these bids.
Also listed on the agenda was discussion and possible action on amending Chapter 11, Fire Department Fees, along with approval of liquor licenses, with no specifics
listed as to applicants on the town hall board.
Ford For the Town in southwest Taylor County, the business slated for June 15 at 1 p.m. in the Taylor County Meeting room at 385 E. Main Street in Gilman included two liquor license approvals (for Long Shot at Miller Dam and Sittin’ Bull), along with the review of a quote from Decker Portables. Previous postings this year included the appointment of a town chairman to replace the longserving Bob Baker.
Roosevelt
Among the business listed for Wednesday June 9 in Roosevelt was that of evaluating a town employee over which the board has jurisdiction, pursuant to State statute 19.85 (1) (c).
Also listed at the Town of Roosevelt hall on West Street in Lublin are fees in the Thorp Area Fire District as follows: Vehicle Extraction = $500 Tanker/Tender = $200 per hour Pumper/Engine = $500 per hour Brush Truck = $200 per hour UTV = $200 per hour Oil Dry = $15 and Foam = $75 Water Charge to Townships/Village only $85 Rescue Squad Charge = $200 per hour Carbon Monoxide Alarm (plus vehicle and man hours) = $150

The Town of Roosevelt joined the Thorp Area District after running into problems keeping the small volunteer Lublin department going in view of State regulations and certifications.
Taft
For Taft, meanwhile, the main news is that the monthly meeting will once again be on the third Tuesday, with residents instructed to check the town hall door at County F and Meridean.
Thorp
The Town Board was due to meet Tuesday June 8 at 8 p.m., including in their discussion an LRIP project in the town, dog licenses, chip sealing the town roads, dog licenses, and motioning to go into closed session pursuant to 19.85 (1) (c ) regarding employee compensation, no other details given.
Wilson
The Town Board is scheduled to meet Tuesday, June 15th at 7 p.m., with a major item of business motioning to approve Boondock’s Bar and Saloon liquor license & operator’s license.
Among the summer road projects aside from County Road G and MM (over which the town has no jurisdiction) are granite on Hay Creek road from Ludington east 1.25 miles, granite from the county line from Pettis Pit to Ludington; granite from Stoney Lonesome Road West one mile; the ditching of Henneman Road and Gravel for a half mile along with replacing culverts as needed, and spot gravel and granite per the grader operator’s request. The town may also change over to QuickBooks for accounting and ledger management.
Worden
DNR Burning permits are required for all outdoor burning when the ground is not completely covered with snow.

With application already made for 2021, keeping dust control in mind for next year will lock in moisture even in the highest summer temperatures, keeping the road outside one’s front door safer for exiting, including by children.
