Pastor John and his wife, Priscilla, have been serving at Trinity Vineyard Church since June 2025. Before joining Trinity Vineyard, they spent two years serving as Directors of Student Ministry at a local church in Abbotsford, where they discovered an even deeper passion for helping people know Jesus and grow in their faith.
Born and raised in central Wisconsin, John grew up in Greenwood while Priscilla was raised in Owen. Their roots in this area have given them a deep appreciation for the people and communities they now serve. Through their children’s involvement in local schools, athletics, and extracurricular activities, they have continued building meaningful relationships throughout the community. Whether cheering from the sidelines at football games, cross-country meets, or track events, they enjoy supporting not only their own children but the families around them as well.
John has always had a heart for serving wherever God has called him. Although he was not always in full-time ministry, he faithfully served in every church he attended. After serving at TCF and following God’s call to Nebraska, John returned to Wisconsin in 2018. Having experienced God’s saving grace firsthand as a young adult, he is passionate about reaching those who are far from God and helping them discover the hope found in Jesus Christ.
When John met Priscilla, they quickly realized they shared the same desire to serve the Lord and build His Kingdom. They were married in January 2020 and celebrated their marriage with family and friends later that August during the COVID-19 shutdowns. Together they are raising five energetic boys—Malachi, Emerson, Jasper, Oliver, and Jethro—along with three dogs that keep life just as lively!
When they’re not at church, you’ll likely find the Frenette family enjoying God’s creation. They love paddleboarding, swimming, four-wheeling (especially mudding!), and spending as much time outdoors as possible. Priscilla jokes that learning to drink coffee became a necessity after raising a house full of active boys!
As a family, the Frenettes believe the church is far more than a building—it’s a family. Their prayer is that Trinity Vineyard Church would be a place where people encounter Jesus, build authentic relationships, and find a community where they are known, loved, and encouraged. They are passionate about seeing lives transformed by the Gospel and helping create a church where everyone feels welcomed, connected, and equipped to grow in their faith.
Their family’s guiding verse is Psalm 23:6:
“Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
Whether you’ve been following Jesus for years or are simply curious about faith, the Frenette family looks forward to welcoming you to Trinity Vineyard Church. Their prayer is that every person who walks through the doors would experience the love of Christ, discover genuine community, and find a place to grow in faith and call Trinity Vineyard Church home.
