The 22nd Annual Stanley Truck and Tractor Pull opened Friday, June 12 to blue skies, seeing large crowds and competition before being called by rain after six classes.
Opening things Friday, Hailey Ciolkosz sang the national anthem, with Lube Suppliers giving away $5,000 in Milwaukee Tools to a Truck Pull committee member, the lucky winner being Bob Ederer.
Lube Suppliers is located at 614 South Broadway, one of several businesses in Stanley for those looking to stop in and look around this weekend.
As for the Truck and Tractor Pull, results saw five classes awarded before rain called the event.
Winning the Pro Farm Tractor category was Colton Bartelt with Just Gettin’ Started for a pull of 314.165 feet.
Winning the Superstock 4x4 Truck category was Peyton Berg with Mayhem.
Winning the Light Superstock category was Bryce Pichler with Red Thunderfor a pull of 333.845 feet.
Winning the 2.6 Pro Street Diesel 4x4 2.6 Truck category was Jim Jensen with Milk Money for a pull of 311.230 feet.
Winning the Light Limited Superstock Tractor category was Devon Roff with Mohawk Warrior for a pull of 282.360 feet.
Winning the Light Pro Stock Tractor category was Kurt Afdahl with Weekend Mistress for a pull of 307.215 feet.
The event was called on account of rain before the last two classes could run, but will return next year.
