City trick or treat hours now 5 – 7 p.m., Village of Boyd remains 4 – 6 p.m.

Plans change, and to that end the local 411 from the Stanley city website is that trick or treat hours are from 5 to 7 p.m in the city, though still without endorsement. An informational blurb gave the details: “The City of Stanley has set aside the hours of 5pm to 7pm for Trick or Treating on Sunday, October 31st, 2021,” it made known. “Due to the current COVID situation, the City is not endorsing, but will not prevent those who wish to participate in the Trick or Treating festivities during the set aside hours. Thank you and Be Safe!”

Hours for the Village of Boyd, meanwhile, remain from 4 to 6 p.m.

In case you’re impatient and can’t wait for the candy, there will be a Trunk or Treat with Stanley businesses at Courtesy Ford Saturday October 30 from 9 a.m. until noon. The event put on by Courtesy and the Stanley Commuity Association is free and meant to provide ‘a safe trick or treating experience for your family.’ Also among the many entities present will be the FFA along with Fire Department and Ambulance for kids to look at.
