Two students at Stanley-Boyd schools are competing for Miss Boyd this year. They are junior Ava Prahl and sophomore Skylar Gohde.
As for candidate details, Ava Prahl is a junior at Stanley-Boyd High School and has one brother. Prahl’s activities outside school work include softball, volleyball, reading, shopping, waitressing at Debbie’s on Broadway and babysitting. She is involved with her youth group and enjoys helping elderly with their yards, as well as working concessions at games and with Sunday school. Her future plans include attending college for a career in the medical field.
Also competing for Miss Boyd, Skylar Gohde is a sophomore at Stanley-Boyd High School. Her activities include FFA, Drama Club, Choir, mentoring and the Be A Buddy Program. Her interests include volleyball and her future plans include going to college for a fine arts degree and becoming an actress.
A coronation for Miss Boyd will take place Wednesday, May 21, exact location pending.
