Double D’s Saloon on the main street of Boyd has been a fixture for many years and it’s now under new ownership. As of September 1, Aimee Fredrick has purchased the business from Dennis and Debra Zais. Aimee, originally from Dorchester, moved to the Boyd area in 2012. She started tending bar at Double D’s in 2013, then began leasing it in 2020. The opportunity to purchase recently came up and she decided to make the move to ownership. For now, it will remain Aimee’s Double D’s Saloon, with business as usual. The daily specials will continue, plus she hopes to add breakfast options in the future along with some new menu items. Hours of operation are Sunday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to midnight, Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. Submitted photo.
