The Stanley-Boyd Archery Club traveled to Louisville for Nationals May 7. Assistant Coach Brandy Pecha shared more recently on how things went.
“We traveled down to Louisville on May 7th,” she said. “All of our archers shot on May 8th. Archers showed up and competed against Nearly 16,000 other archers. When we qualified for nationals, we challenged both the middle and high school teams to shoot better than they did at the state tournament. Middle school shot 50 points higher and high school was 8 points lower. After shooting, archers were able to enjoy a baseball game as a team. On Saturday morning, we were able to tour Churchill Downs, take a steam boat tour, and enjoy a team dinner where we were able to celebrate the team’s hard work throughout the last seven months.”
