The Stanley Rodeo proudly celebrated a historic milestone this year with the inaugural Stanley Rodeo Queen Program, culminating in the crowning of its first-ever rodeo royalty.
Three outstanding young women participated in the 2026 Stanley Rodeo Queen Competition: Ashlee Hamm, Evalynn Williams, and Savannah Schallock. The candidates signed up last fall and have spent the past several months preparing for the competition by studying rodeo rules and traditions, learning about rodeo sponsors and the agricultural community, and volunteering during weekly Wednesday night rodeo work nights.
The competition was designed to evaluate the contestants’ knowledge, horsemanship, leadership, communication skills, and commitment to promoting the sport of rodeo and the Stanley community. Candidates completed individual interviews and horsemanship evaluations before a panel of judges that included Caitlin Dahl of Caitlin’s Cakes, Morgan Marek, current alderperson on the Stanley City Council, and Ava Johnson, 2024–2025 Miss Teen Rodeo Wisconsin. The horsemanship judge was Karla Friedli.
“The dedication shown by all three contestants throughout the program has been remarkable,” said Lacey Granger, Vice President of the Stanley Rodeo. “These young women have invested countless hours learning about the rodeo industry, serving their community, and preparing to represent the values of the Stanley Rodeo.”
Following the completion of all competition events, judges selected the Stanley Rodeo royalty. The 2026 Stanley Rodeo Princess is Ashlee Hamm of Greenwood, WI. The 2026 Stanley Rodeo Queen is Evalynn Willams of Stanley, WI.
As members of the Stanley Rodeo Royalty Team, the Queen and Princess will serve as ambassadors for the Stanley Rodeo throughout the coming year, representing the organization at rodeos, community events, parades, and promotional appearances. The Stanley Rodeo extends its sincere appreciation to all three contestants for their hard work and dedication, as well as to the judges, sponsors, volunteers, and community members who helped make the first year of the Stanley Rodeo Queen Program a success.
The newly crowned royalty made their first official appearance during the Stanley Rodeo Queen Fly By at the Top Hand Challenge on Saturday June 13th marking the beginning of a new tradition for the Stanley Rodeo and the community it serves. They will also be making appearances at the Stanley Rodeo this upcoming weekend! Stop by the Meet & Greet area to get an autograph and a photo.
