Our Savior’s Lutheran Church is having maintenance work done on the steeple. Modern Masonry of Eau Claire was in town the last few weeks doing some tuck pointing and brick replacement to ensure the steeple will last another 100 years. Founded by Scandinavian immigrants in the 1880s with the present brick building built in 1907 to replace one that burned in 1906, Our Savior’s Lutheran merges two distinct church bodies (United Lutheran and Vor Frelsers Menighed/Our Savior’s Congregation) from pioneer days, recently celebrating 140 years in the area.
