A vehicle fire July 30 has resulted in a total loss, but without hospital transport.
The fire, which took place in the McDonalds parking lot, involved a station wagon owned by a New Auburn resident.
Called in after noon, the fire resulted in total vehicle loss, the fire’s cause unknown. The owner was shopping and was not in the vehicle at the time of the fire.
“They weren’t in the vehicle when it started on fire,” Stanley Fire Chief Ron Patten said. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Corner Auto Body.
No one was transported to hospital as a result of the fire. Boyd-Edson-Delmar assisted with the call, as city water hydrants could not be fully utilized at the time, due to well 3 being down. The hydrants are now back online.
