Saturday, Nov. 11 marks Veterans Day, and as in years past Stanley-Boyd High School is planning a special programming.
Taking place Friday, Nov. 10, the program begins with a welcome of the veterans by selected high school students at 11 a.m.
From 11:15 a.m. to Noon a lunch will take place in the high school library, overseen by Kari Thorpe.
Following a coffee break for veterans, the high school and middle school will arrive in the gym at 1:51 p.m.
At 2:00 p.m., the assembly will start, with a slide show, flag presentation by veterans, the Pledge of Allegiance, a Welcome from a high school speaker, recognition of the five branches of the U.S. military, a choir performance led by Ms. Derrico, essays by three middle school students, an honored speaker, and closing ceremonies at 2:50 p.m.
