The Stanley-Boyd School District will host a Veterans Day program Tuesday, Nov. 11 at the high school. The program will be proceeded by a luncheon at 12:15 p.m. in the high school gym, with veterans asked to RSVP by Nov. 7th to 644-5535 ext. 148. All veterans and their guests are invited. There will be reserved parking for veterans in front of the school.
Following the luncheon, a musical performance by grades K through 4 will be held from 1:15 to 1:45 p.m., with an assembly at 2:30 p.m. in the high school gym for grades 5 to 12.
High school social studies teacher and event organizer Robert Seidl gave a preview of the assembly.
“The speaker is a veteran’s wife who will talk about her husband’s service,” Seidl said. “Her name is Mary Randall and her Husband’s name is Thomas Randall. He was a Vietnam Veteran that did a tour in the Marines between 1963-1966.”
The public is invited to the presentation.
