Closing out their season in the playoffs with a 3-1 final in Elk Mound’s favor Oct. 17, the Oriole varsity spikers take away a 2-5 conference record, ranked 6th in the Cloverbelt. With a home record of 2-6 an away record of 6-14, the Orioles took a 207 record for their neutral games.
With Syleen Seicther making Honorable Mention for All Conference, here are some partial season statistics, minus the very first quad against Colfax starting the season and the playoff versus Elk Mound.
Starting things out, Seichter came away with 211 serving aces, 18 assists and 125 kills, while Lauren Potaczek had 210 serving aces, 26 assists, and two kills. For Bailey Sikora, the records stands at 310 serving aces, 47 assists, and 29 kills, while for Macie Lagrander the recorder is 208 aces, 18 assist, and 108 kills. Also prominent in team stats, Ava Prahl had 287 serving aces, 40 assist, and 143 kills, while Kelly Lew had 226 aces, 31 assists, and 178 kills.
With the season now over, the focus turns to for next year, or just basketball season. The girls varsity basketball team faces off with Flambeau on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at Flambeau High School at 7:15 p.m.
