Wrestling coach shares those to watch for upcoming season

The wrestling season may be over for this year, but for those returning to wrestle there will be plenty to watch next year.
“As far as next year, some talented individuals are returning along with Willy and Anna,” outgoing head coach Greg Burznski said recenty. Burzynski turned in his resignation after 16 years and will not be returning to coach this fall.
Listed for wrestlers to watch next year include Darrin Dorn, who Burzynski said had “a very nice freshman season.  If he puts in some work in the off-season he will leap to the next level.”
Also on the list of those to watch are Candin Yeager and Aaron Sturm, sectional qualifiers this year.
“Candin and Aaron were sectional qualifiers,” Burzynski said. “They showed immense improvement throughout the season and will continue to improve.”
Also on the list to watch was Dylan Seichter
“Dylan was a conference runner-up,” Burzynski said. “He is so close to being a dominant wrestler.  He was a little undersized for the 190 lb weight class and still had success.  I can’t wait to see what he can do when he is a true 190.”
Just missing sectional competition, Dredyn Arneson and Brody Westrom got praise from Coach Burzynski.
“Dreydn and Brody just missed qualifying for sectionals,” he said. “Dredyn just came out this season and finished 17-14.  He listens and practices hard.  He has a lot of upside.  Brody was our utility man.  He wrestled wherever we needed him.  He spent time this season at 150, 157, and 165.”
Speaking of Carter Weltzin, Burzynski said that, “Carter had some varsity time this season and continually improved,” while Caiden Paul will step into a varsity role this coming year.
“Caiden has been behind Breckin for most of his HS career so far.  He will step into the varsity role next year and compete.”
As for Stephen Ling, Coach Burzynski said that, “Stephen also showed a ton of improvement throughout the season.  He came in with no wrestling background but listened and worked hard.  He has a lot of potential.”
Come next year there will be plenty to watch at Stanley-Boyd.
