Starting May 6 Daisy Dorn will be the new owner of 1881 Nutrition, a nutrition club serving Herbalife shakes, smoothies, energy teas and more. Dorn graduated from Stanley-Boyd High School in 2023 and has lived in Stanley for many years. She has worked at 1881 Nutrition for five years, works at Deepening Roots, a group home in Thorp, and additionally, she has been a Herbalife distributor since May 2023. Dorn explains her motivation to purchase the successful nutrition club. “I decided to buy 1881 because I have a passion for helping people and that is the perfect place to be! I have worked there since it opened and that just set a vision that I wanted to own a Nutrition club someday so when the opportunity came, I couldn’t pass it up,” she said.
Despite facing its share of challenges since it opened in 2019, 1881 Nutrition is still going strong. Opening during the covid pandemic, 1881 Nutrition first began serving their drinks and products through the front window of their building. In spite of those struggles, the nutrition club has remained a success.
“I love how everyone in the community just works together. It’s such a welcoming and fun community to be a part of. I love all of the activities we host like the rodeo and truck pulls!” Dorn speaks on how close-knit the Stanley community is. “My hope for 1881 Nutrition is to help as many people as I can! I also hope to be more involved in my community through the nutrition club,” Dorn remarks on the future of the club.
As a Herbalife distributor, Dorn describes the advantages of using Herbalife products. “The products are definitely beneficial! Besides tasting amazing, the teas provide a healthy source of energy instead of energy drinks that are packed with sugar and unsafe sources of caffeine and the shakes are a full meal replacement with only 200 calories and 24 grams of protein. They are packed with all of the vitamins and minerals you need to get on a daily basis! There is also 10 different flavors of shakes and a huge variety of teas, which is great because people like to switch things up!”
She mentions that starting next month 1881 Nutrition will feature a new menu while still offering popular favorites like Hawaiian Sunset and Captain America. Some specials this month include, shake flavors- Orange Paradise and Espresso Brownie Mocha, and tea flavors- Midnight Rain, Flower Power, and Party Potion with orange, acai berry, watermelon, and rainbow candy flavor. While customers can buy Herbalife products and make drinks at home, Dorn shares that the 1881 Nutrition club offers numerous products, flavors, and combinations that many users don’t have readily accessible at home. She mentions that after a few cosmetic renovations a grand opening is planned for the public on May 13.
After briefly closing from May 7 to May 12, 1881 Nutrition will be open Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. More information and exciting specials can be found on Instagram at 1881stanleywisconsin or on Facebook at 1881.
