Taking place over the weekend at UW-Oshkosh, the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) held three All-Star Games at Titan Stadium. In order to make the All-Star team, players must be nominated by their school’s head coach, a maximum of three players nominated per school. Coaches must belong to the WFCA to be nominated.
With eight player football on Friday followed with small and large schools Saturday, Stanley-Boyd and Thorp didn’t go unrepresented at the WFCA All Star games.
Part of the small school North team were Nick Sturm (as a coach) and Chase Sturm (on the roster) of Stanley-Boyd.
Meanwhile for Thorp, Keldric “KD” Stokes and Jimmy Lane made the coaches for North eight player football, while Dorian Neisus, Logan Hanson and Denzel Sutton made the team roster for North eight man football. Also represented on the eight man WFCA North team were Troy Duellman of Gilman along with Colin Dallman and Ryan Nelson of Owen-Withee.
Both teams triumphed over their South Rivals, the North small team 31 - 13 and the eight man North team by 36 - 34.
