Meeting on Monday, November 8, the Stanley-Boyd Alumni Association Board of Directors set in motion planning for the 10th Annual Reunion, to be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022. The Class of 1962, represented by Jean (Geist) Rygiel, will be the host group.

The busy meeting was called to order by President Ken Seufzer at the Stanley Area Historical Society at 10 am with 12 Board members present. New Board members Don Zais Class of 1960, Rose (Wellner) Ebert Class of 1973, and Nancy (Hendrickson) Shaurette Class of 1967, were able to be present and were introduced and welcomed.

Secretary Eileen (Stangret) Samplawski presented and had approved minutes from the Annual Meeting and Board of Directors Meeting, both held on October 2. Treasurer Dave Jankoski presented the Third Quarter Financial Report (July 1-September 30, 2021), October Financial Report, a Prelim inary January-December 31, 2021 Annual Report, and a Year to Year Comparison of income and expenditures for the years 2012 through 2021. All reports were accepted as presented. Balances of note, as of October 31, were $31,490.54 in the checking account and the Scholarship Investment Fund is at $33,138.99. In a final financial action, a 2022 Budget was adopted, which projects income of $18,200 and expenses of $12,807.

Jean (Geist) Rygiel, in a report on Board Elections, noted that at the Annual Meeting, Rose (Wellner) Elbert Class of 1973 and Donald Zais Class of 1960 had been elected as new Board members. Also, at the Annual Meeting, Carole (Henkins) Licht, was elected to a one year term ending December 31, 2022 and Dave Jankoski was elected to another three year term. Since the Annual Meeting Heidi (Eslinger) Swope Class of 1976 and Nancy Hendrickson) Shurette Class of 1967 have agreed to serve on the Board and both nominees were voted to serve three year terms beginning January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2024.

President Seufzer lead an extended discussion on the 9th and 10th Annual Reunion. Discussed were the multiple problems encountered with COVID driven serving of the meal through the cafeteria line, need to help some attendees with getting their food to the table, identity issues with assigned tables, desire for music during the meal, and a number of other smaller issues or ideas for improvement. All this said, it was noted that over-all attendees are very pleased with the format of the All-School Reunion and find it a great venue for meeting and socializing with classmates and old friends annually.

In the area of New Business, the Board discussed the con- tent of the Associations Web Site and Facebook Page. Interested readers are encouraged to go to http://stanleyboydalumniassociation. wordpress.com and http://fb.me/StanleyBoydAlumni to gain a better idea of what is happening within the organization. Appreciation was expressed to those involved in the making these sites operational and updating them as needed. In another new business item, the Associations 2021 donation to the Stan- ley-Boyd Schools was discussed and the decision was to donate $2,000 towards an after school tutoring program that addresses learning loss during COVID. With the healthy balance in the checking account, it was voted to move $20,000 from checking to the Scholarship Investment Fund. Committee assignments, if needed, will be made at the April meeting.

In the most important agenda item, the election of 2022 Of- ficers took place. The following officers will be serving SBAA from January 1 to December 31, 2022: President Ken Seufzer, Vice-President left open, Secretary Eileen (Stangret) Samplawski, Treasurer Jean (Geist) Rygiel, and serving as Liaison Representative with the school district will be Dave Jankoski.

President Seufzer announced the next meeting of the Board of Directors will be on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 10 am at the Historical Society. Marion (Voytovich) Walsdorf was thanked for her service on the Board, as her term ends on December 31, 2021. It was noted that she will still be working with the Silent Auction Committee, which she has nurtured along since its beginning. The meeting was adjourned at noon and President Seufzer thanked everyone for attending.
