Stanley Wisconsin has new street banners on Broadway Avenue, following the initiative of the Tourism Commission and installation by the city street crew.
City Administrator Nicole Pilgrim shared more on how the initiative started and details of how it came about.
“The Tourism Commission has been working on getting them replaced for a while now, but recently wanted to involve the local civic and nonprofit groups to increase their exposure,” Pilgrim said. “Print WI printed them for us.”
The local firm located at 35835 95th Avenue outside Stanley offers banners, signage, and floor, wall, and window graphics, as well as large format printing, among other services.
With banners installed in turn by Streets and Grounds Foreman Joe Schmitt and the city streets crew, the banners costing $108 per banner were paid for by the city but reimbursed by the entities showcased.
The banners totaling 23 adorn Broadway Stanley and include STPR - Rodeo (2), STPR - Cheese Curd Stand (2), STPR - Truck Pull (2), STPR - Horse Pull (4), Stanley Independence Day Celebration (2), Stanley Lions (1), SCA (2), Stanley Rod & Gun Club (2), Stanley Historical Society (2), Our Saviors Lutheran Church (2), and Stanley Sportsman Club (2).
