Boyd Chamber of Commerce meets Nov. 7

Tuesday, November 7 was the most recent meeting of the Boyd Chamber of Commerce. The meeting, held at Tolleys Bowl and Bar started at 5:30 p.m. First on the list – Santa is coming to town! Sunday, December 10 will have Santa and Mrs Claus meeting with children at the Village Haus from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. There will be arts and crafts for the kids as well as cookie decorating. In addition to meeting with Santa, each child will be given a bag of treats. There was also talk of having the horse and wagon rides again like last year and having a drawing for a nice prize for the children.

Also discussed was the Chamber bowling tournament. The 26th annual tournament will be held next year on February 23, 24 and 25, at Tolley’s Bowl and Bar in Boyd. Shifts fill up fast so anyone interested in getting a team in should call Tolley at 715-667-3253. There will be drawings throughout each bowling shift.

Staying with the bowling, it was discussed to have a kids bowling tournament next summer. More will be forthcoming regarding the event.

Ringelspiel Days was next on the list of discussion. Various bands were discussed, and contact will be made to see who is available. It is hoped that we can again have the tent for the bands, but if so, additional access to the beer garden would have to be considered. Contact will be made with Paint Me First for the face painting for Saturday afternoon. More Ringelspiel planning will be held at upcoming meetings.

If anyone is interested in becoming a member of the Boyd Chamber of Commerce, please feel free to contact Jeff Zais for information. New members are always welcome! The next meeting will be held December 5th at 5:30.
