Coffee, Commerce, and Connections at Faith Evangelical Free Church

On March 7, Faith Evangelical Free Church hosted the Stanley Chamber of Commerce’s monthly Coffee and Commerce event, welcoming community members and local businesses. The gathering provided an opportunity for Faith Evangelical Free Church to share an overview of their ministries, introduce key staff members, and outline exciting plans for the future.
During the event, the Faith Evangelical Free team, including Children’s Ministry Coordinator Jaime Barth, Administrative Assistant Jeanie Penick, and Women’s Ministry Coordinator Emma Penick provided insight into their various church ministries. These include their Women’s Ministry, Children’s Ministry, Men’s Ministry and their upcoming initiatives. The church’s team expressed their ongoing commitment to supporting and nurturing the spiritual growth of individuals and families in the community.
“We’re excited to be in the Stanley community. We love it,” Jeanie Penick shared.
A highlight of the event was the introduction of Isabella Andrews, the new Director of Student and Worship Ministries. Andrews, who began her role in September 2024 after Youth Pastor Matt Peters transitioned to a new church, shared her excitement about her position and the future of the ministry.
“I’m so blessed to be working with the youth, and they are great,” Andrews shared.
She mentioned that they are actively seeking new members to join the worship team, including acoustic players, drummers, electric players, bass players, and vocalists. “Essentially everything,” Andrews noted.
The youth ministry at Faith Evangelical Free Church is a vital part of their outreach. The youth ministry meets every Wednesday night and caters to two age groups: 3 to 5th grade, and 6th grade to 12th grade. During these sessions, the children and teens participate in games, small group discussions, and other activities aimed at fostering a sense of community and faith.
Looking ahead, the youth group is planning an exciting mission trip to Wyoming in July, where they will serve at a camp.
In addition to the youth-focused initiatives, the event also celebrated Pastor Matt Miklasz’s recent milestone: his five year anniversary as Senior Pastor at Faith Evangelical Free Church and it also marked the release of Pastor Miklasz’s new book, ‘Leading Those You Love,’ which is available for purchase on Amazon and at the Church. Pastor Miklasz is currently on sabbatical during this time.
Faith Evangelical Free Church emphasized its desire to be an active and engaged part of the community. Barth explained, “We want to be a part of the community.”
Faith Evangelical Free Church remains committed to its mission of service, growth, and connection in the Stanley area.
