“We have yet to receive any completed filings at this time,” Stanley City Administrator/Clerk-Treasurer Nicole Pilgrim said Friday via email of candidate filings.
Among those who have taken out papers are First and 8th Ward Alderperson Ben Wald as well as an unnamed female candidate, who didn’t give her name when picking up paperwork.
“She didn’t give me her name when she picked up the paperwork,” Stanley Deputy Clerk Maggie Keeku said of the unnamed second candidate for mayor.
Keeku said incumbent Mayor Mike Henke has not taken out paperwork.
As for ward alderperson at Stanley, three have taken out paperwork, all incumbents.
Keeku said Mark Fitzsimmons had taken out paperwork for the first and eighth ward alderperson, Terry Metzger for third ward alderperson, and Aaron Dickson for fourth and ninth ward alderperson. There is also a vacant seat in Ward 2 open. Dickson and Metzger had returned paperwork as of Monday.
