Crash report gives details on truck vs. scooter accident

Additional details have come to light regarding a crash on Tuesday, May 5 on Maple Street at Franklin Avenue, involving a truck vs. motorized scooter.
Detailed in the crash report, the accident took place as a 2021 Dodge Ram silver pickup traveling eastbound at 25 miles per hour, collided with a pedestrian on motorized scooter. The pickup truck is registered to Andrew Joseph Koepl, 33, the report stipulating a failure to yield, and “looked but did not see” as driver actions. The truck was towed by Halterman Brothers, but not due to disabling damage. The crash took place as Koepl was turning from Maple Street onto Franklin Avenue. Koepl was wearing a seatbelt with no apparent injury, distraction listed as a factor in the crash. Road conditions were daylight and dry with glare also listed in environmental conditions.
The pedestrian struck is listed as William Bradley Burich Reynolds, age 24, with suspected serious injury. Reynolds was crossing at the intersection when struck.
Neither drugs nor alcohol are considered factors in the crash.
