The recent large snowstorm was the topic of discussion at the monthly Town of Delmar meeting at 8pm on April 17th. It was also likely the cause of low meeting attendance as snowplow drivers were still tirelessly plowing the roads. Chairman Dave Peterson, Supervisor Brent Milas, Supervisor Sue Shakal, Treasurer Debbie Haas, and Clerk Julie Krcma-Peterson were all present. Chairman Dave Peterson remarked on the hard work and long hours of the snowplow drivers as they fought the snowy mess. “Tough day for the guys plowing today with that wet, heavy snow,” he remarked as it was reported the new truck had an issue with power steering that very morning. Fixing the potholes had been set the begin that week but was delayed by the recent snow. Peterson announced that the Department of Transportation is likely to begin a project resurfacing part of Hwy 29 from 320th west of County G with the possibility of closing off 320th. It was decided to come to a resolution at a future meeting. The next monthly meeting is scheduled for May 15th at 8pm at the Delmar Town Hall, 11183 320th St. in Boyd.
