The fire report is in for Oct. 2. Among the items contained in it is a retirement, by Stanley Firefighter Michael Fazendin.
"Mike Fazendin has retired from the fire department after 40 years of service," Stanley Fire Chief Ron Patten shared in his bimonthly report to the council.
Also among items included in Patten's bimonthly report was fit testing for firemen's breathing apparatus, various station tasks, one fire call, two EMS calls, 10 fire inspections, and one standby for a football game, with Wildland fire training planned as well.
