Kathleen Lingen was born October 27th, 1924 and grew upon the family farm north of Stanley to Peder and Caroline Lingen. She attended Otter Creek Country School and Stanley High School. After graduating she studied at the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis MN. In 1949 she went to work at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Beloit Wisconsin for 11 years, then called to serve at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Moorhead Minnesota, until retiring in 1995 at the age of 70.
She lived by herself until age 97, then moved to Serenity Assed Living in Dillworth Minnesota.
No matter who she comes in contact with, people love her sharp witty sense of humor. Her favorite past time is football and talking and catching up with family and friends.
A birthday celebration was held Oct. 6th at Serenity Assisted Living, attending were nieces and nephews, Shirley and Jim Brown, Sharon Feuerstein, Lois, Dennis, Julie, Jerry Lingen and Dave and Lisa Lingen, along with many friends.
